Lansdowne Place




Lansdowne is one of the most placid hill stations in Uttrakhand. It is a military area in Pauri Garhwal, Uttrakhand. Lansdowne is around 250 kilometers from New Delhi. Lansdowne is known for its beauty, it is a quietest place. People of Lansdowne are very friendly and well disciplined. 


Lansdowne is still an unexplored beauty by most of the north Indians. Although Lansdowne is unlike other hill stations in terms of big markets and popularity, it is known for natural beauty. Lansdowne has more greenery in comparison with other hill stations.






















Local attractions are Regimental museum, Bhulla taal, St. Mary's church, Tip and top. Lansdowne has the command office of the Garhwal Rifles division of the Indian Army.

You could drive up to Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple. Tarkeshwar is around 38 kilometers from Lansdowne. Tarkeshwar is surrounded by big pine trees. The temple is dedicated to 'Lord Shiva'. On the way you find the valley is drenched in fog and mist. It is so beautiful and indeed nature's own destination.
